Why I Love This Wedding Photo

Many Destination Wedding Photographers get to shoot weddings all over Italy and for me its somewhere I just love to go back to again and again. Italy is home to some amazing places and its no wonder why its up there as one of the most popular locations in the world for destination weddings. When Charlotte and Johannes booked be as their Taormina Wedding Photographer I was super excited.

I’d not been to Sicily before though i’d been to many other Italy wedding locations for couples. With it being so far south it is incredibly warm. Especially when it’s an August wedding in one of the hottest parts of the Italy.

This leads me onto why I love this wedding photo so much. The preparations for Charlottes wedding took place at Villa Schuler. It was an incredibly hot day and inside we had air conditioning, cold bubbly and fruit. Once Charlotte was ready and we prepped to leave for Castelmola we took a few moments outside to acclimatise to the heat. Being a Sicily Wedding Photographer you’d think that you’d get used to this heat. But you just don’t! Its super warm but it is so worth it as its just an amazing place.

I love it because the gardens at Villa Schuler are super nice and I really wanted to incorporate that into the wedding photos. I think Charlotte looks pretty amazing and you can almost feel that Sicilian sun on your own face looking at this. I’m sure when she looks at this she’ll have a great memory of exactly how it felt. The best time of year for an Italy wedding is when its suits you best really though there are some things to take into consideration for you wedding.

You don’t need many reasons for a Sicily destination wedding really. Just seeing it online and its reputation is enough. If you’ve never visited Taormina specifically you may not know why so many couples choose Taormina for their destination wedding. But it really is somewhere pretty spectacular.
