Destination Wedding Moments

Why I Love This Wedding Photo

Weddings are all about the people. It’s why I got into weddings in the first place. I love the connections between them. The anticipation they create and excitement and emotions that can unfold. As many Destination Wedding Photographers will tell you, its great to get out to these amazing locations but ultimately it’s the people that make the wedding what it truly is. Destination wedding moments like this happen just as much at home as they do abroad.

This new image to my series “Why I Love This Wedding Photo” is taken from when I was making Southern France wedding photography for Cherry and Thomas. Not too far from Nice on the south coast on the French Rivera there is a very isolated wedding venue called Domaine Des Bruguieres. It was tricky to find when I first got there but its so worth the tricky journey. its a very unique wedding venue and its perfect for weddings. I’m extremely excited to be a Domaine Des Bruguieres Wedding Photographer and even more excited about the idea of shooting weddings there again.

If you want to see more from this wedding you will find it on my blog. This particular image though is one of my favourites from this wedding. It was just after the wedding ceremony and Cherry’s grandmother wasn’t able to get up to congratulate the couple  right away. As soon as the precession was over, the couple were swamped by their wedding guests who rushed to hug and congratulate them.

I was doing a great job of capturing the excitement in the air and all of the beautiful moments that were happening. Then I noticed Cherry had seen her grandmother sat down on her chair. As soon as I saw Cherry pushing her way though her wedding guests. I knew there would be a precious moment to be captured.

I’m super proud to have made this photo and I’m sure Cherry with cherish it for many years. I cant wait to capture many more destination wedding moments like this in the future.

Villa Wedding On An Italian Lake

Like I said at the start this post, weddings are all about the people. This stunning destination wedding was in a breathtaking location in the South of France. This will be one of the most important photos from that day. If you look you’ll not see anything to suggest this wedding is a destination wedding.

If you are planning a destination wedding and you would like an experienced destination wedding photographer to capture your wedding I’d love to hear from you.
