This city is actually older than Rome and was originally founded by the Etruscans. You can enjoy all this beautiful Italian history easily on foot in Siena as the cobbled streets are just for pedestrians and this makes it super easy to get around and enjoy the city. More Tuscan history tied in with weddings now as Siena is home to Duomo. This is one of Italy’s most amazing Gothic Cathedrals. Known for its incredible marble interior of black and white stripes. In fact this place is so sought after its only open for two months of the year, September and October to try and conserve the place. The floor alone took over 200 years to complete!
