Taormina Wedding Venues
Finding the perfect venue for your wedding can be stressful, but when you choose to have a Taormina wedding, it gets a little bit easier. Why? Because Taormina is stunning! One tough task though is choosing between the amazing Taormina Wedding Venues in this beautiful small town.
Taormina is one of the most beautiful towns in Sicily, poised on a cliff overlooking Mount Etna and the southern Mediterranean sea. It offers you all you could want from a wedding location; charming alleyways, historic squares, delicious food and wine, sandy beaches, and of course, historic venues.
In Taormina, you really won’t be able to go wrong. However, there are a few different things you should consider when you choose your venue, such as your budget, how many guests you hope will make the trip with you, where in Taormina you would like the ceremony to take place, and the style of wedding you desire. Destination Wedding Photographers dream of shooting at venues like these!
To help you narrow down your search, here are 6 of my favourite Incredible Taormina wedding venues:
Villa Schuler
Villa Schuler is possibly the best venue in Taormina for small, intimate weddings. They are dedicated to helping you achieve every detail of your dream small wedding, whether you choose to include a wedding planner from outside the venue or rely on the hotel managers and staff to help everything run smoothly.
Villa Schuler keeps the tradition of Taormina alive, and it has been in the same family since 1905. Unlike many of the other venues on this list (and many other Taormina hotels), it is still family-run and has an outstanding reputation. It is located centrally in Taormina with its own shady terraced gardens which are perfect for afternoon and evening cocktails and of course alfresco dinners. Villa Schuler is located just a two-minute walk from the Botanic Gardens, which is the ideal location for a post-wedding photoshoot.
If you want to embrace Taormina’s tradition, this is the venue for you.
Villa Mon Repos
One of my favourite locations in the entirety of Italy is Isola Bella. It’s a small island off the coast of Sicily. Though when the tide is out you can walk to this breathtaking island. Why am I telling you this? Because from Villa Mon Repos, you can see and access this beautiful island for yourself. Making this venue an amazing choice for your wedding. Making Villa Mon Repos Wedding Photography is one of the very reasons I love being a wedding photographer at all. Its incredible infinity pool, historic building and views you can only dream off this place just has to be considered.
Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo
The Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo offers a team of experts to help you make your dream wedding a reality, whether that means a religious ceremony in the town hall or a blessing within the venue’s lush gardens. Their goal is to take care of everything so all you need to do is enjoy your day and try to remember as much of it as possible. (Fortunately, a great Taormina wedding photographer will help you with that!)
The venue offers some of the most spectacular views in Taormina, private gardens, a beautiful pool with views of the sea, and deliciously fresh food. The venue is intricately detailed, from the doorknobs to the wallpaper, and everything in between. If you’ve been picturing a venue with high ceilings, plenty of light, and lush greenery, this is certainly one for your shortlist.
San Domenico Palace
The San Domenico Palace is a truly special venue where you can choose to have your ceremony outside with views of Mount Etna with the Bay of Isola Bella below. The venue itself dates back to medieval times, and the historic architecture and blooming and full surrounding gardens make for a fairytale location to say I do.
They offer a complete professional wedding planning service, an option to choose for your wedding staff to wear tails, beautiful private paths around the palace to explore for your photos, and of course space to party after. This venue offers so much scope; choose to keep things intimate or go for a huge, luxurious dream wedding and feel like king and queen for a day.
Belmond Villa Sant’Andrea
Looking for a little old-world glamour for your Taormina wedding? Maybe you fell in love with Sicily after seeing it on the big screen, but however you decided on Sicily for your destination wedding, the Belmond Villa Sant’Andrea is a great venue for mixing the luxury of a hotel with the hospitality of a home.
Belmond Villa Sant’Andrea is a 19th century hotel which sits on the shores of Mazzaro Bay. You can say your vows outside in the gardens by the bay, and their dedicated team will help you create your dream wedding day. They happily accommodate intimate family weddings and elegant dinners for hundreds. They specialize in fresh local seafood and paired with best Italian wines, followed by dancing to music provided by local musicians.
VOI Grand Hotel Atlantis Bay
The VOI Grand Hotel Atlantis Bay is an incredible five-star hotel nestled in the unique location of the Baia delle Sirene (Mermaids Bay), sheltered by a cliff with a private view out over the sea. If you’re looking for the most luxurious hotel in Taormina for your venue, this is it. Every one of their guest rooms faces the sea and their restaurant and bar are great places to relax and meet your guests on the days leading up to the wedding.
Atlantis Bay offers breath-taking views, some of the best catering to be found at any venue in Taormina, a dedicated wedding planner, and attention to every little detail to ensure you have the perfect day, whether you’re planning a small intimate wedding or one with over 100 guests.
