When it comes to shooting weddings I just love to capture them at exclusive wedding venues. One of the main reasons I love being a Newburgh Priory Wedding Photographer. Exclusive wedding venues give brides and grooms the freedom to have their special event all in one place with no restrictions. Wedding guests can roam free and it also helps with the wedding planning as their tend to be little restrictions. Yorkshire Wedding Photographers are super keen to shoot here as its just an incredible wedding venue.

One of the exciting thing about being a Newburgh Priory Wedding Photographer though is the water garden they have. Really gives a unique opportunity to get creative with a beautiful backdrop. They also have a walled garden with beautiful fruit trees and garden houses.
Set in the quaint village of Coxwold this church has a lot of history connected with Newburgh Priory. The church was built around 600 years ago in 1420. Its impressive octagonal tower allows for a real statement for your wedding ceremony.
House History
So the priory goes back even further than the church and was originally founded in 1145 and was originally a Augustinian Priory. I’m not sure quite what it would cost to buy the property now bust back in 1549 Henry VIII sold it for £1,062! From there it was turned into a residential property. You can read more about the history on their website. The house is now owned by Stephen Wombwell and its kept to a super high standard.
