A guide to some of the best places to get married in the Cotswolds.

If you’re planning a wedding in the Cotswolds, one of the first things you’ll realise is how many beautiful locations there are to choose from. That is part of the appeal, but it can also make things harder when you’re trying to narrow things down.

The Cotswolds is not one tiny place. It covers a wide area, and different parts of it have very different feels. Some are better if you want soft countryside and elegant manor house venues. Some are ideal for barn weddings. Some feel more tucked away and intimate. Others are easier for guests to reach and work better for a full wedding weekend.

What makes a good Cotswolds wedding location?

Gloucestershire

Gloucestershire is one of the strongest areas to look at if you want that classic Cotswolds feel. It has some of the most recognisable scenery, beautiful countryside, and a really strong mix of wedding venues.

Warwickshire

It is a strong option for couples who care about setting and atmosphere, and who want the whole wedding to feel rooted in a beautiful part of the country rather than just happening at a nice venue.

This part of the region works especially well for couples planning a full weekend wedding, because there are lots of lovely places nearby for guests to explore, eat, and stay.

South Cotswolds

The South Cotswolds can feel slightly easier and more accessible, especially for couples with guests coming from Bristol, Bath, or London. It still has plenty of beauty and character, but depending on the exact area, it can feel a touch less remote than some northern locations.

That can be a real advantage if you want a wedding that still feels like a countryside escape, but without making the logistics difficult for everyone attending.

How to choose the right part of the Cotswolds for your wedding
