Hi I’m Ste I’m a Cheshire Wedding Photographer and I shoot weddings both in Cheshire and all over the world. I have a mainly candid approach to my work and even when I’m shooting just my couples by themselves I keep this super natural and there is no awkward posing. When I’m at a wedding with my camera in my hand and around me there are people witnessing a ceremony and I see bridesmaids and groomsmen around. I see close family members and listen to the speeches. I’m taking as much of it in as possible and using my camera to illustrate not only what your wedding looks like but how it feels. From the moment the wedding dress is taken from the hanger, through the first kiss and right through to the first dance. Every moment matters to me. So to do all this in my neighbouring county of Cheshire means a lot.
This is a short video about what weddings mean to me. I also give a brief overview of how I work on a wedding day too. Hopefully this will give you an insight and maybe you could work out if I could be a good fit for your wedding. I’ve photographed weddings all over the UK from London to Cornwall and here in Cheshire all the way to Inverness in Scotland.
One of the things I love about being a wedding photographer in Cheshire is that there are so many amazing Cheshire wedding venues. I’m in love with the Cheshire countryside. I’ve photographed weddings in venues all over the UK and as a destination wedding photographer all over the world but there is a strong feeling of quality in the ones in and around Cheshire.
Here are some of my favourite Cheshire Wedding Venues;
Scarlet Hall, Malpas
I guess you shouldn’t really have favourites in this industry though this wedding venue could be contender. Not just of the venues in Cheshire, but all of the wedding venues I’ve photographed around the world. The venue is a member of Unique Home Stays and it has one of the most homely vibes that I’ve ever seen at a wedding venue. As a Scarlet Hall Wedding Photographer I can’t recommend this place enough and if your curiosity is getting the better of you here is one of my favourite weddings here; Jack and Hannah’s Winter Wedding At Scarlet Hall.
Oak Tree Of Peover
I shot a beautiful summer wedding here at the Oak Tree of Peover For Paula and Rich. It’s perfectly nestled into the cheshire countryside in knutsford and has a very strong exclusivity feel to it. You can see more of their wedding here.
Owen House Wedding Barn
This bespoke barn wedding venue in Mobberly is set on a modern looking farm. Its got so much character to it and if your really excited about having great wedding photos then thins place is so great. The light is just perfect. You can see some work I did here for Kate + Michaels wedding. Be sure to take a look at their website and see what they have to offer as a wedding venue.
Thornton Manor
Thornton Manor is definitely a strong contender for the number one spot for wedding venues in Cheshire. Having shot here a few times its place i love more and more with each visit. This gorgeous estate in the British countryside has so much luxury. Tara + Edwards wedding here was such a great wedding and I hope you enjoy some of these images from their wedding.
Hilltop Country House
Another venue in the heart of the Cheshire countryside in Macclesfield. They have 10 acres of stunning grounds and whilst shooting Aynsley + Becks Hilltop Country House Wedding I had such a great time. Its another venue that great for beautiful light. No matter the time of day the light always seems to be perfect. Hilltop is a venue to consider for sure.
Peckforton Castle
Another cheshire venue that i’ve had the pleasure of shooting at more than once. This Tarporley venue has an extremely high level of character and if its grandeur your looking for then you should really take a look. When i was Sarah and Sams Peckforton Castle Wedding Photographer it was winter time but made everything super cosy and beautiful.
Nunsmere Hall
Nunmsere Hall is also in Tarporley and just shows you that Cheshire is full of so many great places to get married. I was Nicola and Rob’s Nunsmere Hall Wedding Photographer for them and its both a subtle yet grand wedding venue. You really have to visit to get a good feel of how good it is really. Just a couple of minutes walk from the venue though Wisteria-clad walkways you’ll find a gorgeous lake that’s perfect for wedding photos.
A Documentary Style Photographer
One of my selling points as a wedding photographer is that I take a strong documentary style approach to photographing my weddings. Candid wedding photography is very important to me as I love to photograph things as organically and as naturally as possible. From when the bridal preparations begin at the start of your big day, I like to meet and interact with the wedding guests and bridesmaids early on to try and build trust and recognition so thats its easy for people to feel relaxed and comfortable around me. That way, as your wedding day goes progresses from the ceremony through the speeches to the cake cutting you’ll have real authentic and organic moments captured.
Cheshire wedding photography will always end up looking beautiful. Whichever wedding venue you decide to choose in this beautiful part of the world your photos will look amazing. Wether its a big church wedding or and intimate elopement you’re in for a treat. I’m really excited to be shooting at some exciting cheshire wedding venues this year.
