Stone Barn Wedding Photographer

If you’re getting married at Stone Barn and you want photos that feel honest and natural, then I’m super happy you are here.

I’m Ste, a documentary wedding photographer. I capture the day as it unfolds, the real moments, the atmosphere, and the people you love. No forced posing, no awkward instructions, and no spending hours away from your guests.

Stone Barn wedding photographer candid moments

Stone Barn suits documentary photography so well

Stone Barn is one of those venues where the day flows naturally because its all neatly in one place. It’s tucked between Burford and Northleach, with proper Cotswolds views, loads of character, and a warm feel inside with stone walls, timber beams and open fires.

Cripps and Co venues are also known for the atmosphere around food and the way the space moves from ceremony, to drinks, to the feast, to the party, which means you get loads of genuine moments without having to manufacture them.

What I focus on:

  • the nerves before the ceremony

  • the reactions during vows and readings

  • the hugs and laughs during drinks

  • the in between moments you do not see on the day

  • speeches, tears, chaos, and dancefloor energy

A calm photo plan that still gives you everything

Most couples worry they need loads of time for photos. You do not. You just need a plan that protects the experience of the day.

Morning prep
The story starts here. The build-up, the people around you, the little moments.

Ceremony
Unobtrusive coverage, plus reactions from guests. These are always some of the best images.

Drinks reception
Stone Barn is great for this. People relax quickly, and you get brilliant candid moments.

Couple portraits
10 to 20 minutes. Natural prompts. No stiff poses. It should feel like a breather, not a photoshoot.

Speeches and evening
Atmosphere, movement, and the full story right through to the party.

Stone Barn photo spots and light

Because Stone Barn sits up on a Cotswold hill, you’ve got brilliant options for wide scenic photos and softer, more tucked away moments too. You’ll always get a strong mix of black and white photos with colour ones too.

I’m always thinking about:

  • where the best light is at each time of day

  • how to keep portraits quick and relaxed

  • where we can step out for 10 minutes without missing anything

  • what to do if it rains so it still looks amazing

If the weather turns, it genuinely is fine. Some of the moodiest, most cinematic photos happen at Stone Barn when it gets a bit dramatic outside.
