West Tower Winter Wedding

Winter isn’t always the most popular time for weddings. Though I’m hoping that if you are considering one, these images from this west tower winter wedding may just inspire you. Hot summer garden weddings are beautiful, outside in the sunshine just after the wedding ceremony listening to acoustic wedding guitarist play some laid back tunes whilst you sit sipping your bubbly. But what about the cosy warm fires and festive decorations and huddling around the fire pit listening to the crackle of the fire before heading in for more warm food and dancing. I cant really let you know if I prefer winter weddings here or summer ones. Though either way I just love being a West Tower Wedding Photographer and I cant wait to shoot my next wedding here soon.

WEST TOWER WINTER WEDDING

Bridal Preparations At The West Tower

One of my favourite things about this wedding venue is the bridal preparation room. Known as the bridal suite, this room is large enough for the bridesmaids and has beautiful large window at the end of the room that provides the most beautiful light for making wedding photos. Here in these candid wedding photos you can see Kaye and her bridesmaids making use of the room on the morning of the wedding day.

One of the great things about this wedding is that the dress was made by the mother of the bride. I usually love to share my wedding photography with the dress designers and suppliers. This time however this wasn’t possible. Obviously the mother of the bride has a copy of the images. I love how relaxed the morning of this wedding was. Though as the morning developed things began to get more emotional as they usually do on the morning of a wedding. I just loved the closeness of Kaye and her mother and of Kaye and her Daughter. All 3 generations looking great and having the best time. The bridesmaids reactions to seeing Kaye all ready was great, though in my opinion, the reactions to seeing Kaye in her wedding dress were not as good as when her father saw her. You can see all of these reactions below.

West Tower Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony room here is lovely and I just love the long walk from the top of the steps down to the end of the room. All of the wedding guests get to watch on as the father of the bride and his daughter walk down the aisle together. Before that though I got to watch as Kaye walked down the stairs too meet the remainder of the bridal party before heading in for the ceremony itself. I always love moments like this as the anticipation is always great and it makes for more great candid wedding photography. The ceremony itself was beautiful with close family and friends giving some readings as the low winter sun shone through the beautiful windows that the west tower has in its main room.

Once the wedding ceremony was over, all of the wedding guest lined up outside so we could get together to throw confetti over the couple whilst I captured it all. Its such great backdrop and location for this.

Evening Reception

Drinks, hugs, selfies, dancing and sparklers. These are the main elements of the evening reception of this west tower winter wedding. The decor and dressing of this wedding was carried out by Thornton Events and they did such great job at making this place look so good. I mean the venue looks pretty great anyway but the element of detail and character they gave made so much difference to make it more personal for the bride and groom.
