This April I was really lucky to have been there on the day of Carly + Dales wedding. When we spoke about the approach they wanted, Carly + Dale asked for relaxed wedding photography at Crabwall Manor. Thats just what I gave them. When people look back at their wedding photos I want them to be able to feel the moments and the emotions in their wedding photography.
Crabwall Bridal Prep
Carly and Dale took a less traditional approach to their wedding and even saw each other before the ceremony and walked down the isle together. They were originally not going to have a wedding as big as this. I’m so glad they did though as they both deserved it and it was an amazing day. It started with me meeting Carly and her girlfriends in the room they had booked at the manor. I got to spend some time getting to know some of her friends and getting some great snap shots of this Crabwall bridal prep. The light was beautiful and combined with the awesome make up by Cath at Perfectly Undone Hair & Make Up & her hair done by Gemma at Pernickety Hair Company Carly looked absolutey amazing!
Build Up Wedding Moments
I wanted to share this image specifically from this wedding. There are always great build up wedding moments but this one I love. Almost all of my work is natural and candid photography. Only minutes before the ceremony this awesome family had a few moments in a private room before it all became official. I’m a strong believer that it is the moments and the people that make weddings great. Sure, you can choose a grand palace or an exotic beach to get married but at the end of the day its the stories that unfold, its the emotions that flow throughout the wedding day. Its great to be able to make pretty pictures but its even better to make a photo with emotion and character.
It was a pleasure shooting this wedding for Carly and Dale. Like I’ve already mentioned in the post, weddings to me are all about the people. These guys are no exception. The first time I met them in a Costa Coffee in Cheshire we got on and I knew that us working together would only result in this amazing wedding photography at Crabwall Manor.
They had a really unique wedding with both Carly and Dale walking each other down the isle and they even had a first look of each other before the ceremony. They had all their close family and friends with them to celebrate this awesome celebration in their lives. I love chatting to guests at weddings and getting to know people. Its in my nature first of all and it also allows me to get into the wedding and shoot it from the inside out.
I want to wish Carly, Dale, Scarlett and Zane an amazing future! Congrats Guys!
