I love shooting weddings and I love Barcelona. So destination wedding photography Barcelona is a perfect recipe for me to shoot one of my favourite weddings of the year.
This wedding had Michelin star restaurants, beautiful parks, the outdoors, city streets, tapas and a whole load of emotions and smiles!
The wedding preparations began at The Mercer Hotel in the gothic quarter of Barcelona. As I was approaching the venue for the first time I could just feel that it was going to be an amazing wedding. The hotel is tucked away in the side streets and it part of a listed building. You must check this hotel out if your looking for a little luxury whilst your in the city.
We got some great bridal preparation shots whilst spending a little time with Angela’s sister, one of her best friends and her dad.
We then went off to Parc De Laberint via taxi where she would meet her groom Phil.
After a short walk through the park we saw the wedding party waiting high above us as we walked past some amazing small constructions.
They made their promises and vows to each other in front of their close friends and family.
After the ceremony was over we went back into the heart of the city for tapas snacks and fine wine.
The reception was to follow and the entire wedding party were carted off in Trixies. Back to the Gothic quarter to the Mercer Hotel.
Michelin star canopes, beer and wine were served before a stunning 10 course taster menu was served.
I fell honoured to be part of so many weddings and listen to so many amazing speeches. These speeches were fantastic and the Phil’s speech is one of the best I’ve heard from a groom.
I hope you enjoy this small selection of images from the wedding.
