Welcome To America

For this blog i’ve decided to post something a little different than just images of my clients as they can be a little boring if its the same old subject time and time again.

Thought I could tell you a short story about one of my best holidays i ever had.

It involves me being away from my family for 4 months, prison and losing $800.

I hate being away from my family but for a long time its what i did for a living.

Ive served 16 years in the Royal Air Force. Travelling all over the world.

Some good places, some bad. To illustrate that a little moreI spend 9 months in Iraq and i’ve also spent 6 weeks in Las Vegas. Just to name a couple.

So it had its ups and downs. I’ll share more travelling stories in future blogs to come.

This story though is about me spending 4 months just outside of Dubai. A couple of months before my departure my wife and I had decided that in the coming years we would try for a baby.

So we decided that on my return from 4 months away we would go on an amazing adventure across 3 awesome cities in America.

We both worked super hard at saving as much as we could whilst we were away and we managed to save enough to book our hotels along the way. Along with our internal flights and putting as much aside as we could for spends.

It was worth the wait, though during the 4 months it felt like 8 and the trip to the states seemed like it was getting further and further away.

Our trip took us from the grey skies of Manchester to New York City. A place I have visited twice before but a city I instantly fell in love with the first time I went.

After 6 days in the big apple it was off too Las Vegas (we spent $800 on our first night!)

6 amazing but tiring days later we took a short flight to San Fransisco. This part was quietly one of my favourites. It included a trip to jail, drinking wine with vineyard owners in Napa Valley and an american beach party.

Below are some of my favourite images i took on the trip and a little about the shot themselves.

I love the USA.

I love the size and awe of it all.

Happy Viewing…

I took this from the east river Hudson on the circle line. A great way to get some great views of the city in a short amount of time.

This photo is just illustrating the speed in which the city runs. People need rest in this super fast metropolis.

A symmetrical look at some of NYC's subway cars.
