Some of my favourite things in life are; nice coffee, red wine and travelling. So to spend 5 days in Italy has taken its toll on me.

Our trip started with a little under 3 hour flight from London Stansted to Naples on the west cost of Italy. A two hour coach ride south along the cost brought us to fabulous Sorrento. It wasn't long after dropping our bags off at our hotel which was located in the centre, that I was drinking Italian beer whilst snacking on Italian meats. Sorrento has a real Italian vibe about it even with all the tourists you’re made to feel like a local. The streets are small and full of shops selling local produce and restaurants with typical European outdoor seating.

Every time we ate out at a restaurant it felt compulsory to have red wine and an espresso afterwards which suited me fine as the leading sentence to this blog will explain!

The city is full of culture, history and beautiful sights. The locals are kind and the surrounding areas provide plenty of things to do. From hideaway lagoons to active volcanoes it's hard to not go out and experience something awesome!

Photography being my true passion there where endless opportunities to get some great shots. As you can see I've shared a few with you here. Including a few from my Instagram feed @ste1878

Being a wedding photographer I was provided with a great opportunity to capture photographs of Mr & Mrs Ordish. Italian wedding photographer. I like the sound of that, maybe it can become a more common practice! If you know anyone getting married in Italy then I have some experience! Send them my way! For more images from their wedding check out my Italian Wedding blog here.

I’d highly recommend Sorrento as a small getaway. It’s not the biggest of places but has a huge cultural feel along with stunning scenery. A great place to take photographs too.

The isle of Capri just a 30 minute boat ride away lies to the west. Every designer label has a store on this tiny, elegant and tranquil island and attracts the rich and famous along with travellers and tourists. 5 star hotels, blue lagoons and cable cars are just a few of the many attractions here, id highly recommend it if your in the area.
